A CONFIRMATORY FACTOR ANALYSIS OF TOTAL QUALITY MANAGEMENT IN SCHOOLS UNDER THE OFFICE OF THE PRIMARY EDUCATIONAL SERVICE AREA IN NORTHEASTERN THAILAND

Objectives of this research were to analyze the confirmatory components of total quality management (TQM) in schools under the Office of the Primary Education Area in the Northeast of Thailand. The study employed a quantitative research approach. The sample consisted of 597 school administrators and teachers, selected through multi-stage random sampling. The research instrument used was a questionnaire. The statistical methods employed included frequency, percentage, mean, standard deviation, and confirmatory factor analysis (CFA).
The findings revealed that the measurement model of TQM implementation in schools under the Office of the Primary Education Area in the Northeast of Thailand comprised four components, namely, creating satisfaction for service recipients, human resource development, strategic planning, and leadership. The model demonstrated a good fit with the empirical data. The Chi-Square value was not statistically significant. The relative Chi-square (χ²/df) was 1.20, the goodness-of-fit index (GFI) was 0.98, the adjusted goodness-of-fit index (AGFI) was 0.95, the comparative fit index (CFI) was 0.99, the root mean square residual (RMR) was 0.00, and the root mean square error of approximation (RMSEA) was 0.01.
