DEMOCRACY SURVEILLANCE NETWORKS MODEL FOR PREVENTING CORRUPTION IN LOCAL ELECTIONS LOWER NORTHEN OF THAILAND

Abstract

The objectives of this research paper were to study 1. operating conditions, 2. factors affecting the operation, 3. create and confirm a democratic surveillance network operating model to prevent corruption in local elections, in the northern region lower part 9 provinces. Used the mixed research quantitative research for sample group, used Taro Yamane formula a sample of 400 people was obtained collect data with questionnaires data were analyzed with basic statistics, regressive multiples. And qualitative research by interviewing 35 key informants, a target group of 15 people criticizing the model used a content analysis method.

Research finding were as follows: 1. the operational level was at a high level in all 5 factors, ranked the first 2 averages from least to greatest, were: 1) referendum 2) election and the level of operational factors was at a high level in all 9 factors, the first 2 averages are sorted in descending were: 1) access to mechanisms to prevent corruption in local elections 2) the common ideology of the democracy surveillance network. 2. Factors affecting work performance 7 factors predictive factors statistically significant at the .05 level where the multiple correlation coefficient is .892 as 79.50% forecasting power. And 3. the creation and confirmation of the model found that: 7 factors such as promotion from government agencies, access to inspection of anti-fraud mechanisms, etc. All have a high level of suitability.
