ANCIENT CONFUCIAN PHILOSOPHY INFLUENCING TO THE CONCEPT OF MODERN THAI SOCIETY

Abstract

This article aims to present the concept of Confucian philosophy in individual philosophy, social philosophy, political philosophy, and Confucian ideas that influenced Thai society because Confucius philosophy has influenced the administrative, social, economic, and cultural development of Chinese people for more than two thousand years. This is a model for living, organizing in society, cultivating morals and ethics, and placing oneself in peaceful coexistence with fellow human beings. It is focus on organizing the family well which is the smallest institution of society to provide an ethical foundation and good relationship with each other in society. A person who comes from a moral and ethical family can become a good ruler. The main doctrine is kindness, righteousness, ethical traditions, and wisdom. Therefore, the concept should be adapted to suit Thai society. It will be beneficial for self-development, society, and the nation as well.
