Abstract

The objectives of this research were (1) to study the management for preventing and solving drugs problem of Her Majesty’s Fund in Samut Sakhon province (2) to study the overall operation according to the key performance indicators (KPI) of Her Majesty’s Fund in Samut Sakhon province (3) to study the relationship between the management for preventing and solving drugs problem and the overall operation according to the KPI of Her Majesty’s Fund in Samut Sakhon province, and (4) to recommend the initial approach for preventing and solving drugs problem of Her Majesty’s Fund community in Samut Sakhon province.

This study was mixed-method research, which collected data from (1) the experienced persons who were in charge of Her Majesty’s Fund in the policy level, for the qualitative data by in-depth interview, and (2) the practitioners of Her Majesty’s Fund in the area level, for the qualitative data by in-depth interview and the quantitative data by questionnaire.  The results of the study can be concluded as follows:

  1. 1. The overall average of the management for preventing and solving drugs problem of Her Majesty’s Fund in Samut Sakhon province, was high. Considering to the overall, found that the Teamwork Management was the highest average issue; with the Leadership had the highest average. The other lower average issues can be ordered consecutively as follows: The 7’s Management; with the Leadership had the highest average, and the Network Management was the lowest average issue; with the Internal Network Interaction had the highest average. The qualitative study found that all of three factors above were linked up and affected with each other, Her Majesty’s Fund that was managed by the strength and high potential teamwork in all section, will have operated efficiently in accordance with the designated goal. Also, it will be obtained the collaboration from other networks and public agencies, to participate for preventing and solving drugs problem and other subjects that is relevant to community strengthening.
  2. 2. The overall average of the overall operation according to the key performance indicators (KPI) of Her Majesty’s Fund in Samut Sakhon province, was high. Considering to the overall, found that the subject of “bestowed money was reserved entirely”, was the highest average issue, and the subject of “Her Majesty’s Fund was the learning center for other community”, was the lowest average issue. The qualitative study found that the overall outcomes for preventing and solving drugs problem of Her Majesty’s Fund in Samut Sakhon province can be considered from (1) lots of money was added to Her Majesty’s Fund (2) Her Majesty’s Fund activities were hold in the village or community areas (3) account of Her Majesty’s Fund was provided correctly and updated presently (4) community’s learning centers of Her Majesty’s Fund (5) collaborative network and community’s working groups coordination establishment, and (6) procedure of nine-approaches community strengthening.
  3. 3. The management for preventing and solving drugs problem had a statistically significant positive correlation in high level with the overall operation according to the KPI of Her Majesty’s Fund in Samut Sakhon province; with the Teamwork Management was the highest correlation issue. The other lower correlation issues can be ordered consecutively as follows: The 7’s Management, and the Network Management was the lowest correlation issue.
  4. 4. The initial approach for preventing and solving drugs problem of Her Majesty’s Fund communities in Samut Sakhon province, were as follows: (1) community’s learning centers of Her Majesty’s Fund establishment (2) dissemination suppression (3) deterrence in the area (4) sharing knowledge to community (5) proficiency development (6) work system improvement (7) public relations (8) work integration to extend an outcome, and (9) KPI designation.
