Abstract

Research titled "The sufficiency economy : a guiding light towards sustainable development in Bansapanpak Community" has three objective : 1. To study the current condition of people in the sufficiency economy : a guiding light towards sustainable development in Bansapanpak Community 2. To study the barriers of people in the economic of the sufficiency economy : a guiding light towards sustainable development in Bansapanpak Community 3. To study the suggestions of people in the sufficiency economy : a guiding light towards sustainable development in Bansapanpak Community. This was a qualitative research by a purposive random sampling. The samples were farmers and head of households is 35 samples and collected data through indept-interview and observation. The content analysis was a descriptive statistic method. The results were as follows : 1. Bansapanpak Community in the current conditions have led to the economic performance in the individuals, families and communities to expand to include more groups. The principle of sufficiency economy works is dedicated to the principles we have enough to feed themselves vigorously and the cooperation of the community 2. The problems of people were : 2.1. Lack of sufficient economic activity in the community. 2.2. Lack of knowledge expert speakers of economic principles to solve problems. 2.3. Bansapanpak Community understanding’s the economic dislocation does not meet the purpose and meaning of true principles. 3. Suggestions include as follows : 3.1. Should have knowledge of community leaders and people by providing case examples from different successful past experiences communities. 3.2. The involved government agencies should support the policies and budget for the development knowledge community, staff and the community continuously. 3. Promote the use of the sufficiency economy as a serious policy to eradicate poverty in the community. 4. Find a way to promote learning based on the sufficiency economy model with the community participation.
