The Public Participation In Building Strong Commnunity of Prak Kret Town Municipality, Nonthaburi Province

Abstract

Research titled "The public participation in building strong community ofPak Kret city municipality,Nonthaburi province " aimed to 1) examine thebackground of people who involved in the public participation in building strongcommunity of Pak Kret city municipality, Nonthaburi province 2) study the factorsthat affected the public participation in building strong community of Pak Kret citymunicipality, Nonthaburi province and 3) study the model of public participation inbuildling strong community of Pak Kret city municipality, Nonthaburi province Theinstrument used in this study was 400 questionnaires which were collected in thestudy area. The statistics used for data analysis were the percentage and stepwisemultiple regression method to determine the factors that affect the publicparticipation in building strong community of Pak Kret city municipality, Nonthaburiprovince.Findings were that:Factors affectting the participation of the social activities and help forsolving problems of the community without expecting something in return were at87.8 %.Factors affecting the participation in social activities because people hadconfidence that government's policy to build strong communities in order to createstability for people, were at100%.Opinions about the factors that affected the participation of the publicconsciousness of loving community agreed that the objectives of government'policy would make strong community and self-sufficient, representing 100 %.Opinions about the factors that affect the public participation in theprocess of learning to participate agreed that the public participation in buildingstrong community led to the learning in the potential community development,representing 96.5%.The successful public participation in building strong community of PakKret city municipality.Nonthaburi province agreed that the community isstrengthened and has better immunity, representing 73.5 %.The hypothesis testing was found that the background of people thataffected the public participation in building a strong community of Pak Kret townmunicipality, Nonthaburi province consisted of gender, marital status and educationlevel. While the factors that affected public participation in building a strongcommunity of Pak Kret city municipality, Nonthaburi province were social role,faith and the learning process of participation.
