Searching for Local Innovation Theregion According to Mission Decentralization of Thailand

Abstract

This research aims to search for local innovation in the central regionaccording to Thailand's mission of decentralization by the local governmentconsists of Provincial Administration Organization (PAO). Municipality and Sub-district Administrative Organization (SAO). The Subject derived from multi-state,proportional sampling werefive local government organizations from fiveprovinces.Focus groups discussionandinterview from the administrators, agenciesinvolved with the decentralization process, representatives from civil society,media, scholars as well as documentary were used for data collection.Qualitativeanalysis were employed in analysis data.The results showed that local innovations have been found based onsocial and public health services, agriculture, law and politics respectively.Thoseinnovations can lead the quality of life or well well-being of citizens has improvedand increased significantly and also leadto self-government of the people involved

as well.
