The Guidelines for the Conservation of Musical Tub Keng in Phetchabun Province
Abstract
This research is a qualitative research. The purpose of this research to study the history of Tub Keng music, to study the nature of the musical Tub Keng, and to guidelines for the conservation of musical Tub Keng. The instrument in this
research was a structured interview, focus group, and the tools used to collect data on the tape recording, and video player. The results found that 1. The Tub Keng music happened a long time ago, but there is no evidence that the happening of musical Tub Keng. When the study of local history, the spread of cultural theory and customs and private and royal tradition, it may conclude that musical Tub Keng have caused the transfer of culture and royal tradition of Sukhothai and Phetchabun. The musical Tub Keng may have been influenced by the spread of Sukhothai culture is derived from the Mangkla band and adjust the instrument of their own, moreover, it may be influenced by the central to the Pa Sak river and the spread of cultural influence of musical Mangkla in Phitsanulok.
2. The name of the musical Tub Keng is relationship with the instrument to be used in a band with two kinds of musical instrument; Tub meaning the sound of drums and Keng sound of a gong, both of instruments are an important role in
the Tub Keng band, it become a name of band.
3. The musical Tub Keng in Phetchabun found in Padeng village, Palao village, Pam village, they are the same in instruments, respective teacher ceremony. The difference is the played the music, and respective material of each band may
be adapted to suit their own band.
4. The musical Tub Keng look like many musical bands. The band has a similar style of musical Tub Keng is Pichanaiklongchana band, Wongkongkek band, Wongbualoy band, Wongkalor band, and Wongmangkla band but the musical Tub
Keng as most similar musical Mangkla in Phitsanulok province.
5. The conservation of Tub Keng music are;
1. Synthesizer the musical Tub Keng in all the information to create a standard of musical Tub Keng.
2. Assigned to the school to create a local curriculum for the musica Tub Keng as part of teaching and learning in schools.
3. Make the musical Tub Keng to more modern.
4. To change the attitude toward the musical Tub Keng.
5. The information for musical Tub Keng in public.
6. The local administration should provide support for the budget for the activities of Tub Keng music.
