THE LAUNDRY BUSINESS WITH COIN-OPERATED WASHING MACHINES TO CULTIVATE A CULTURE OF GIVING AND RECEIVING SERVICES IN NAKHON RATCHASIMA
Abstract
The objectives of this research 1) To study the history of laundry business management with coin-operated washing machines. 2) To study current conditions and the problem of managing a laundry business with a coin-operated washing machine. 3) To improve the management of the laundry business with coin-operated washing machines and cultivate a culture of giving and receiving services. This research was conducted by using qualitative research methodology using questionnaire survey, interviews, and workshop. Data were collected from 60 participants and informants. The three specific communities of Nakhon Ratchasima Municipality are Keha community, Panich Charoen Community and Suepsiri Pattana Community. The research was carried out by descriptive analysis. The research finding wears as follows: In the community research area of Nakornratchasima Municipality, the laundry business started with the management of hand washing business . The laundry business with a coin-operated washing machine has managed around 25 years or more since about 1992. The first point is the neighborhood around Korat Apartment. The company has also improved the management of the laundry business with coin-operated laundry machines and clothing services. One or more 3.5 kg conventional washing machine, the top and the front door were used for the most clothing laundry. Visitors to the laundry service are usually students around the campus. Study on the management of laundry business with coin-operated washing machines to cultivate a culture of giving and receiving services in the municipality of Nakhon Ratchasima. It was found that most of the peopleinvest in a coin operated laundry service open 24 hours a day. These shops will not have a laundress. Coin-operated laundry is spread around the campus and the students and workers' residences. The problem of coin laundry business are : coin operated laundry service did not have a laundress, the maintenance of the washing machine was too long to repair and the vending machine was in the shop where the owner did not keep watch, including breaking up the washing machine for a time without knowing the reason. Develop a culture of giving and receiving services found that most business owners are conscious to solve problems for customers, willing to service, get customer feedback and love the service. The problems should be resolved immediately to customers. Mostly, the shop will have a badge, phone number for customer problems.
