DEVELOPMENTAL ASSETS, SELF DEVELOPMENT, SOCIAL SKILLS AND CAREER MATURITY OF VOCATIONAL STUDENTS AT SISAKET TECHNICAL COLLEGE

The objectives of this research were: 1) to study the level of developmental assets, self development, social skills and career maturity of vocational students, 2) to compare career maturity of vocational students by difference personal factors, 3) to study relationship between developmental assets and career maturity of vocational students, 4) to study relationship between self development and career maturity of vocational students, and 5) to study relationship between social skills and career maturity of vocational students. The samples used in this research were 615 vocational students of Sisaket Technical College. The data were collected by questionnaires. The results were as follows: 1) developmental assets, social skills and career maturity of vocational students were at the high level and self development of vocational students was at the moderate level, 2) the vocational students who had different genders have different in career maturity with the statistical significance at .01 level and the vocational students who had different grade point average, education level, couple life status of parents, head of the family’s occupation and family income had not different in career maturity, 3) developmental assets had positively related to career maturity of vocational students with the statistical significance at .01 level, 4) self development had positively related to career maturity of vocational students with the statistical significance at .01 level and 5) social skills had positively related to career maturity of vocational students with the statistical significance at .01 level.
