IOTS REQUIREMENTS FROM THAI’S AGING (CASE STUDY AMUTPRAKAN PROVINCE)

Abstract

This research aims to: 1) study the elderly population in Samutprakarn in Thailand;2) study the technology requirement of the elderly in Samutprakarn; 3) study of technology usage in the elderly in Samutprakarn. This research is a qualitative research conducting by collect data from the elderly aged 60 and over who live in 23 districts of Samutprakarn province.

According to the survey of the 400 aging in Samutprakan who are 60 years or older, including 190 males and 210 females. 160 of the 400 people accepted, using IoTs Technology, found that the needs of the aging in each age range are different, as follows;

- people aged 60-79 years require an emergency alert

- people aged 80-89 would like to have a reminder system

- people over 90 years old need equipment to take care of themselves. To reduce the burden at home.

Most older people need smart devices (AI) more equipment needs to be ordered
