The Development of Christian Leadership for Christian School Administrators in Thailand

บทคัดย่อ
This qualitative research aimed to study the components of Christian leadership, develop the approaches of Christian leadership development, and evaluate the proposed approaches for administrators of Christian schools in Thailand. The study began with a content analysis of Christian leadership theories and principles to identify key components, which were then used to create semi-structured interview questions. Through snowball sampling, 20 key informants were interviewed until data saturation was achieved. The collected data were analyzed using content analysis to develop a set of Christian leadership development approaches. These approaches were subsequently reviewed and validated by a focus group of nine experts. The experts evaluated the approaches based on the standards of utility, feasibility, propriety, and accuracy.
The findings revealed that Christian leadership can be systematically organized into three core components: Personal Development, Skills, and Relationships. Based on these components, three main Christian development approaches were designed: 1) Reinforcing Value-Based and Christian-Principled Leadership (Christ-Centered Leadership); 2) Developing Competencies in Administration and Academics; 3) Promoting Self-Development and Networking, including 12 sub-approaches with specific implementation points. The experts’ evaluation confirmed that all aspects of the proposed approaches—utility, feasibility, propriety, and accuracy—were at the highest possible level, indicating they are well-suited for practical implementation. This research provides a credible and comprehensive framework for cultivating effective Christian leadership within Thai Christian schools.
