A Structure Equation Model of the Performance by Operating Personnel of Mahachulalongkornrajavidyalaya University Based on the Buddhadhamma
Main Article Content
Abstract
The objectives of the research article were as follows: 1) to investigate the performance of operating personnel; 2) to develop a structural equation model of the performance by operating personnel; and 3) to present a structural equation model of the performance by operating personnel of Mahachulalongkornrajavidyalaya University based on Buddhadhamma. The study used mixed methods and was divided into three phases: 1) Qualitative research method, with ten key informants, including administrators, teachers, and staff; 2) Focus group discussion with nine experts. Inductive reasoning was used to examine the obtained data; and 3) Quantitative research method, with a sample group of 440 people chosen by two-stage cluster sampling. The LISREL software was used to analyze the data.
From the study, the results are shown as follows: 1) The performance of operating personnel of Mahachulalongkornrajavidyalaya University based on the Buddhadhamma shows (1) components of operational efficiency in three areas, (2) personnel in professional operations and general administration in three areas, (3) Gharāvāsa-dhamma, or the four virtues for lay people, and (4) the performance of operating personnel based on the Buddhadhamma in five areas; 2) The development of a structural equation model for the performance by operating personnel of Mahachulalongkornrajavidyalaya University based on the Buddhadhamma with mediator variables shows that the model has a goodness-of-fit (GoF) with the empirical data. It is evident from the chi-square value of 92.08, df value of 74, and (p) value of .075 that the developed model is congruent with the empirical data; and 3) A structural equation model of the performance by operating personnel of Mahachulalongkornrajavidyalaya University based on Buddhadhamma is a causal relationship model and has a goodness-of-fit (GoF) with empirical data (Chi-square = 92.08, df = 74, p = .75, GFI = .979, AGFI = .947, RMR = .115).
