The Effects of Cooking Activity Provision on Flexible Thinking Skills of Young Children

Abstract
The purpose of this research was to study the effects of cooking activity provision on flexible thinking skills of young children. The study was a quasi-experimental research. The target group of this study were 8 male and female preschool children aged 5-6 years who lived in the same area around Watcharaphon 3 Village, Sai Mai District, Bangkok Province. Including 24 cooking activities plan preschool children's flexible thinking skills structured interview form 1 set and an observation form on flexible thinking skills of preschool children 1 set. qualitative data analysis by content analysis and Data were analyzed by means of standard deviation.
The results showed that the children who received cooking activity provision had higher flexible thinking skills posttest than the pretest ones with changes in flexible thinking skills which consists of identifying a problem or situation, finding a variety of options, decision making, and action and review of solutions add more than before the experiment.
