The Administrative Strategies for Subdistrict Quality Schools Under the Office of the Basic Education Commission

Abstract

The research article consisted of the following objectives: 1) to study the current conditions and needs of building administrative strategies for Subdistrict Quality Schools; 2) to build and develop the administrative strategies for Subdistrict Quality Schools; 3) to try out the administrative strategies for Subdistrict Quality Schools; and 4) to present the administrative strategies for Subdistrict Quality Schools. The study applied a mixed-method approach between quantitative and qualitative researches. The quantitative research employed questionnaires asking opinions of 546 samples. The obtained data were analyzed by using mean and standard deviation (S.D.). The qualitative research employed interviews with 9 experts in order to apply the new body of knowledge to develop strategies as well as conducting a public hearing with 22 experts in order to examine the propriety, feasibility, and utility of the strategies. From the study, it is found as follows: 1) From studying the current conditions and needs of building the administrative strategies for Subdistrict Quality Schools, it is found that the condition of operation overall is at a high level. While the need of building strategies is at a high level. 2) The administrative strategies for Subdistrict Quality Schools under the Office of the Basic Education Commission consist of 1) visions; 2) missions; 3) goals; 4) strategies; and 5) success indicators by using the driven mechanism of POLC for operating according to the strategies. 3) The overall image after trying out the administrative strategies for Subdistrict Quality Schools found to have the satisfaction level at a high level. 4) After examining the administrative strategies for Subdistrict Quality Schools by experts, it is found to have propriety, feasibility, and utility overall at a high level, showing that the strategies can be practically applied to develop local schools to be Subdistrict Quality Schools.
