The aims of this article research were 1) to study the Nong Bua village volunteer youth group in the conservation of Dong Tamle-Don Yai community forest, Chang Phuak sub-district, Suvarnabhum district; 2) to study the volunteerism-building model of Nong Bua village youth in preserving Dong Thamle-Don Yai community forest, Chang Phuak Sub-district, Suvarnabhum district; 3) to propose a model of Buddhist volunteering for the Nong Bua village volunteer youth in the conservation of Dong Tamle-Don Yai community forest, Chang Phuak Sub-district Suvarnabhum district, Roi Et province. This study was carried out by means of the qualitative research by studying documents and fieldwork to collect the data from 30 key informants by in - depth interviews. The tools used for data collection were structured interview forms. The data were interpreted by the descriptive analysis.
The results of research were as follows 1) The Nong Bua village volunteer youth group for Conservation of Dong Tamle-Don Yai community forest Chang Phuak sub-district, Suvarnabhum district, Roi Et province has ideology in preserving the forest from the smuggling of Siamese rosewood in the communities in which they live. The group was formed from training and awareness cultivation from generation to generation to protect and conserve community forests voluntarily, with not expecting any compensation. 2) A model for creating volunteer spirit of Nong Bua village youth in preserving Dong Thamle - Don Yai community forest is obtained from volunteering with training and creating awareness. Establishing a network for forest restoration of the Nong Bua village youth, including ordination of forests, is a symbolic expression of religious belief that can help protect forests. Gathering in the merit making event of people in the community is another model of villagers to connect their mission with their lifestyle and the dependence on natural resources. 3) The model of Buddhist volunteering for the Nong Bua village volunteer youth in the conservation of Dong Tamle-Don Yai community forest, Chang Phuak Sub-district Suvarnabhum district, Roi Et province can be made by creating an ideological group of network partners to restore forests to the community; and creating a Buddhist volunteer spirit group for the youth by applying the Buddhist doctrine.
