Management Shelters a Long Stay Elderly Foreigners in the Northern Provinces

Abstract

The objectives of this article research were to 1) study the situations and management of shelter business as a long stay for elderly foreigners in the upper northern provinces 2) analyze the factors of management of shelter business as a long stay for elderly foreigners in the upper northern provinces, and 3) study the research model of causal factors management of shelter business as a long stay for elderly foreigners in the upper northern provinces. This study was a mixed methods research with the population of entrepreneurs or the business executives and elderly foreigners who traveled to long stay in the upper northern provinces, totally 39 sites of 4,000 persons. And selected by simple random sampling. The samples were 364 respondents and questionnaires with reliability level of 0.98 were used for the research tools. The statistics used to analyze the data were mean, standard deviation, confirmatory factor analysis, and analysis of structural equation modelling.   


          The research findings were as follows:


1) The situations and management of shelter business as a long stay for elderly foreigners in the upper northern provinces revealed that the aspect of customer confidence, the aspect of service marketing strategies, and the aspect of service quality mostly affected the management of shelter business as a long stay for elderly foreigners in the upper northern provinces, 2) the results of causal factor analysis for the management of shelter business as a long stay for elderly foreigners in the upper northern provinces revealed that it was influencing the management of shelter business as a long stay for elderly foreigners in the upper northern provinces at a statistical significance level of .05 and .01 and the structural equation modelling comply with the empirical data. 3) The results of the research model of causal factors  management of shelter business as a long stay for elderly foreigners in the upper northern provinces comply with the empirical data at an acceptable level (Chi-square = 152.376, df = 142, p-value = 0.261, GFI = 0.997, AGFI = 0.894 และ RMSEA = 0.019, CFI = 0.997, และ RMR = 0.013)
