This article is part of a thesis entitled “The Interpretation of the Meaning of Life in Kritsana Asoksin’s Pa Kammathep”. The research aims to analyze the novel in terms of problems and human value by using the literary criticism method, and the findings are presented in descriptive analysis. The findings reveal that through her characters’ behaviors, the author presents three major human problems: intolerance and sexual desires; poverty and ambition; and loneliness and hunger for love. Life experiences and limitations as seen in this novel also reflect another point of view of the author in that humans can eventually overcome their problems and prove their human values, as discovered through the leading characters’ behaviors, by refining their minds and inborn traits. The two values of humans discovered include not only restraint and understanding of human nature, but also acceptance of truth and encountering of problems.
