This participatory action research aimed to explore a creation of value-added for headscarves with Juan Tani weaving patterns. Data were gathered from related documents, research reports, training on applied Juan Tani weaving patterns and in-depth interviews with members of the Muslima Bunga Tanjung Group. The study found that when embroidered on Muslim headscarves, Juan Tani weaving patterns gave a new look to the headscarves with different patterns from the original Juan Tani because of their delicate patterns with 3 - 5 colors. However, for Bava textile which is light, Juan Tani weaving patterns were made smaller and less sophisticated by reducing the number of thread colors to correspond with consumer tastes and preference for small designs, complimentary colors with the color of the cloth, and versatility to be worn with various styles of clothing. Even though the new embroidery patterns on headscarves were not the same as the original Juan Tani weaving patterns, they rendered a new product to the Muslim headscarf-making group, a new choice to customers and more income to members of the Muslim headscarf-making group.
