The Effects of Project-Based Learning Program on Executive Functions of Early Childhood Learners

This experimental research aimed to : 1) examine the effects of a project-based learning program on self-management thinking of young children, and 2) compare the self-management thinking of young children after the experiment between the experimental group and the control group. The participants were 51 kindergarten 2 students under the Ministry of Higher Education, Science, Research, and Innovation in the first semester of the 2025 academic year, selected through cluster random sampling with parental consent to participate. The research instruments consisted of a project-based learning program, implemented through 20 learning activities, and a self-management thinking assessment. Data were analyzed using t-tests. The findings revealed that : 1) after the experiment, the experimental group had significantly higher self-management thinking than before the intervention at the .05 level, and 2) after the experiment, the experimental group had significantly higher self-management thinking than the control group at the .05 level.
