The Development of Online Lessons Based on the Information Technology Competency Promoting Activities on Using Technology to Solve Career-Related Problems for Matthayomsuksa 3

Abstract

     The purpose of this research were 1) study the suitability of online lessons for activities to promote information technology competency on "Using Technology to Solve Career Problems" for Mathayom 3 (Grade 9) students; 2) study the effectiveness of online lessons; 3) study the effectiveness index of the developed online lessons; and 4) study student satisfaction with the online lessons. The research sample consisted of 20 Mathayom 3/1 students at Namon Pittayakhom School, Namon District, Kalasin Province from a total population of 63 students, who were selected by cluster random sampling. The research instruments included online lessons, suitability assessment forms, achievement tests, and satisfaction questionnaires. The research statistics included percentages, means, and standard deviations. Efficiency values and effectiveness indexes The study results revealed that 1) the online lesson was at the highest level of appropriateness (   = 4.55, S.D.=0.50), 2) the effectiveness of the online lesson was 82.00/89.50, meeting the specified criteria of 80/80; 3) the effectiveness index of the online lesson was 0.73, or 73 percent, indicating high learning progress; and 4) student satisfaction with the developed online lesson was at the highest level overall (   = 4.65, S.D. = 0.56). This research was a quasi-experimental study using a single-group pre- and post-test design. The sample consisted of 20 Mathayom 3 (Grade 9) students selected by cluster random sampling. A review of the findings revealed that experts agreed that online lessons were most appropriate in all areas, particularly in the areas of images, language, and sound, which received the highest average scores. Lesson management received the lowest average score, but was also the highest.
