Guideline for the development of community welfare management: a case study of a community enterprise group developing vegetable products Herbs and fruits, Ban Pa Puey, Ban Hong Sub-district, Ban Hong District, Lamphun Province

Abstract

     This research aims to study the situation and analyze problems in welfare provision. Including finding ways to develop the welfare of a community enterprise group developing vegetable products Herbs and fruits, Ban Pa Puey, Ban Hong Sub-district, Ban Hong District, Lamphun Province. Data were collected from the target group through in-depth interviews with of 5 executives from the group president, vice president, and group committee members. This involved purposive sampling, there was a focus group of 15 group members and a forum to brainstorm overall opinions of group members and employee groups. The data collection instrument was an interview form, focus group and data recording form. Researchers analyzed qualitative data using content analysis.
     The results showed that Providing welfare of enterprise groups It is a form of savings. Received back Everyone must save 100 baht per month as savings and low-interest loans. when resigning The welfare arrangements are different as follows : 1) Welfare for the committee and members includes shareholding, hospital stays. Life insurance and savings from the Bank for Agriculture and Agricultural Cooperatives, Free health check, Free study tour and child scholarships, except for members 2) Employees have only savings benefits and leave rights. In addition, the enterprise group The money was used as welfare for the community, including scholarships, traditional merit making, and development of community weirs.
     The problem of welfare provision for enterprise groups is the inequality in welfare provision for employees that is less than that of the committee and members. Including loans that are too small.
     Guidelines for developing welfare include 1) expanding rights to health care and medical treatment 2) increasing educational benefits for children of members and employees 3) increasing recreational benefits 4) increasing career development benefits 5) participation in decision-making regarding with various welfare arrangements 6) Government agencies should support various activities more relevant.
