Guidelines for Soft Sklls Development of School Administrators Under the Secondary Educational Service Area office Sisaket Yasothon

Abstract

       The purposes of this research were: 1) to study about administrator’s soft skills, 2) to study about the development guidelines of administrator’s soft skills, And 3) to evaluate the development guidelines of administrator’s soft skills. By using mixed methods research, divided into 3 phases, Phase 1 is to study about administrator’s soft skills, the sample population are 132 administrators. The equipment’s for the research are questionnaire, the statistics are frequency, percentage, average, the standard deviation and Content Analysis. Phase 2 is to study about the development guidelines of administrator’s soft skills by using “In-Depth Interview” to interview the 12 professionals using purposive sampling and the equipment for this method is the questionnaire form for the development guidelines of administrator’s soft skills, by using content analysis. And phase 3 is to evaluate the development guidelines of administrator’s soft skills by evaluating 30 administrators, the equipment is the evaluation form for the development guidelines of administrator’s soft skills about the appropriation/possibility and the benefit. The findings revealed that

According to the soft skill conditions, the study showed that the overall soft skill condition of school administrator under the Secondary Educational Service Area Office Si Sa Ket Yasothon is at the highest level ( = 4.52, S.D. = 0.57) When considering each aspect, the study revealed that all aspects of the soft skill conditions are at the high and highest level sorted from most to least as follows: 1) emotional intelligence ( = 4.60, S.D. = 0.57)  2) teamwork (  = 4.55, S.D. = 0.55) and 3) analytical thinking for creative problem solving (  = 4.54, S.D. = 0.56) Further, the study also showed that the lowest aspect is innovation and human development (  = 4.45, S.D. = 0.56).
2. The result of the study about the development guidelines of administrator’s soft skills by conducting in-depth interviews (In-Depth Interview), it can be concluded that there are 30 approaches for the development of educational institute administrators' skills.
3. Development guidelines of administrator’s soft skills by evaluating 30 administrators about the appropriation/possibility and the benefit show the level scores in total at the most level.
