The Quality of Work Life Improvement Model of the Teachers in Non-Formaland Informal Education of the Sub-Districts

The objectives of this research were 1) to analyze the elements of quality of work life of the teachers in non-formal and informal education of the sub-districts, 2) to create the model to improve the quality of work life of the teachers in non-formal and informal education of the sub-districts, 3) to evaluate the model to improve the quality of work life of the teachers in non-formal and informal education of the sub-districts. The research was divided into 3 steps as follow; the first step was to analyze the elements of quality of work life of the teachers in non-formal and informal education of the sub-districts by studying the related documents and interviewing 21 experts. The data was collected from 462 sample participants and the tools for data collecting were structured interview and questionnaire concerning the elements of quality of work life of the teachers in non-formal and informal education of the sub-districts with 5 rating scale and reliability at 0.93. The statistic used were content analysis, frequency, percentage, standard deviation, and Exploratory Factor Analysis. The second step was to create the model to improve the quality of work life by a seminar based on 15 experts (connoisseurship). The research tools were a draft of quality of work life model and the document for connoisseurship seminar using content analysis. The third step was to evaluate the model by collecting data from 7 experts. The research tool was the quality of work life improvement model and the statistics used were frequency, percentage and standard deviation.
The research found that 1. The elements of quality of work life of the teachers in non-formal and informal education of the sub-districts comprise with 6 elements namely 1) working condition 2) relationship with superiors 3) working potential improvement 4) career development opportunity 5) compensation and welfare, and 6) organizational commitment. 2. Creating a model for quality of work life improvement was summarized as follow; 2.1 The result for creating a model for quality of work life improvement comprises 3 parts namely; Part 1 Introduction which consists of concept, basic principles of quality of work life improvement and objectives. Part 2 Content which consists of 1) working condition and guidelines 2) relationship with superiors and guidelines 3) working potential improvement and guidelines 4) career development opportunity and guidelines 5) compensation and welfare and guidelines, and 6) organizational commitment and guidelines. Part 3 Success condition is the part that explains the concern and guidance to support the quality of work life improvement model to be effective. 2.2 The result for examining the quality of work life improvement model found that the overall expert affirmation of the quality of work life improvement model is appropriate. 2.3 The result for the evaluation of the quality of work life improvement model found that 7 experts suggested that the quality of work life improvement model handbook is highly appropriate. 3. The evaluation result of the quality of work life improvement model found that the overall accuracy, the appropriation, the usefulness, and the possibility are at a high level.
