The Role and Potential of Community Organization Council for Community Empowerment: A Case Study of Nakhon Pathom Community Organization Council

Abstract

          This research aims to 1) To study the roles and potentials of the Nakhon Pathom Provincial Community Council in strengthening the community. 2) To study the relationship between the roles and potentials of the Nakhon Pathom Provincial Community Council in strengthening the community. 3) To study the guidelines for the development of roles and potentials of the Nakhon Pathom Provincial Community Council in strengthening the community. Use the Mixed method and Quantitative Research. Data were collected by using questionnaires with 333 members in Nakhon Pathom Province by using a systematic method, Quantitative Approach and In-depth interview. Collect data from semi-structured interviews with 10 target groups that are community leaders. Statistics used in data analysis were mean, standard deviation and Correlation Analysis.

          The study indicated that the role of the community organization council in enhancing the overall strength of the community is at a high level. If considering each aspect, it was found that the role of strengthening the management of groups or organizations in the community was at the highest level. As for the potential of the Community Organizations Council to enhance the community's overall strength at a moderate level If considering each aspect, it was found that the general image was at the highest level. The analysis of the relationship between the role and potential of the Community Council of Nakhon Pathom Province in strengthening the community, it was found that the role of the community organization council in Nakhon Pathom province is related to the potential of the community organization organization in Nakhon Pathom province to strengthen the community with statistically significant at .01 and have a moderate level of relationship. The guidelines for the development of roles and potentials, the community organization council found that there should be a training course for potential development seriously and continuously for the members of the community organizations, most of which are villagers, have project management skills, skills in organizing the development process and budget management skills, etc.
