Objectives of this research are as follows; 1) to synthesize color prototypes produced from color materials painting Hoob Tam, 2) to construct color models restoring conditions of Hoob Tam by the digital colorization techniques. Research instruments are consisted of; 1) a record form for applying colors to paint Hoob Tam, 2) an interview form for interviewing experts of Thai Painting, 3) a record form for specifying color codes, 4) an assessment form for listing color prototypes. The Sample of this research is the one of Hoob Tam Paintings in Wat Pha Lei Lai, Ban NongPhok, Tambon Dong Bang, Amphur Nadoon, Mahasarakham. This mural use located at the left hand-sided of the South of the inside wall of the church. It is called the painting of "Confrontation of Devils", which is derived from a purposive sampling. Research findings are as belows. 1) There were 14 colors found in this Hoob Tam consistings; Chinese indigo, light Chinese indigo, indigo, white, black, green, gray, beige, yellow, light purple, pink, brown, dark brown, and brown for background. Then researcher synthesized those materials into color prototypes for applying as the original and replacement colors. 2) Those color prototypes were later brought to construct color models and to restore its colors by the digital colorization techniques. Finally the painting of "Confrontation of Devils" was restored to be as colorful as the day the painter painting it.
