Abstract

This article aims to study the legal measures that Thailand should take to solve the problem of abandoned children in unsafe places. According to the study, the United States has developed Safe Haven Laws to establish a child shelter in each state to solve the problem of child death from being abandoned in unsafe places. As a result, children's deaths from abandonment have declined. The law allows mothers who are not ready to raise their children to have a save place to put them. Babies can be placed in save haven baby boxes. It also provides protection for mothers who may not reveal their names in order to avoid any litigations.
