Abstract

 Mr. Songsak Pratoomsin was the person who invented Vode from a toy to become Isan circular panpipe or Vode. The techniques used to create Vode were done through several fault attempts which later became general techniques in Isan nowadays. The main materials could be found in local area such as Koo Kan wood, bamboo, honey ants, etc. For the tools, they were found in the area including bamboo splitting knife, big knife, and saw. The steps begin with making Look Vode, following by making the core of Vode and put them together. Afterwards, fill the hole of Look Vode with honey ants. Finally, making the head of Vode by honey ants was done along with decorating its look and sound for concise sound system of Isan folk music in order to perform with other musical instruments
