The Journal of Humanities and Social Sciences, Surindra Rajabhat University has revised its Aims and Scope to enhance academic quality, clarify the journal's identity, and align with national academic journal standards. The key details are as follows:
🔹 Journal Aims
The journal aims to disseminate valuable research and academic articles in the humanities and social sciences, emphasizing conceptual, theoretical, and academic framework analysis to explain, understand, and critique social and human phenomena and contemporary social changes in local, regional, and international contexts.
The journal prioritizes the creation of academically rigorous knowledge, coupled with connections to social, cultural, and regional dimensions, to support the role of Surin Rajabhat University as a higher education institution serving society and promoting sustainable local development.
🔹 Journal Scope
The journal accepts research articles and academic articles within the following scope:
Linguistics and Meaning in Society
The study of language, discourse, communication, and meaning-making processes within social, cultural, and contemporary contexts.
Sociology, Anthropology, and the Dynamics of Contemporary Society
The study of humans, communities, social structures and relationships, social change, identity, inequality, and social phenomena in local and regional contexts.
Philosophy, Ethics, and Social Thought
The study of philosophy, ethics, and social thought to explain, analyze, and critique the values, beliefs, and frameworks governing contemporary society.
The Study of Art, Music, and Performing Arts as Social Phenomenons
The study of art, music, and performing arts as social spaces, discourses, meaning, and identity construction, emphasizing humanities and social science analysis, not creative works or cultural preservation.
Critical Humanities and Social Sciences in Local and Regional Contexts
A study using a critical framework to understand human, social, and change issues, linking local, regional, and contemporary social dimensions at national and international levels.

To ensure the journal's scope is clear and does not overlap with other specialized journals. The journal will not consider articles in the following fields:
Creative or traditional arts, music, and performing arts
Collection of local wisdom and cultural heritage
Politics, government, public policy, and political science
Jurisprudence
Management and business administration
Experimental science and technology
📌 Enforcement
The revised objectives and scope of the journal are effective for articles published from Volume 28, Issue 1 (2026) onwards.
However, articles submitted before the announcement of the revisions will still be considered according to the journal's previous objectives, scope, and operating standards.
