Encyclopedic Methodology of History and Civilization of the Ancient Town of Si Thep

Abstract
This article aims to investigate an approach to the encyclopedic method in compiling the history and civilization of the ancient town of Si Thep. The research results show that to produce such an encyclopedia with accuracy and detail, it is necessary to include both secondary and primary data from at least five categories of information sources: 1) past research documents, 2) internet and social media owned by reliable agencies, 3) museums, 4) archaeological sites and 5) academic conferences and seminars. The presentation of the content should be chronological and categorical, accurate, and use clear and easy-to-understand language, with at least the following topics: 1) Si Thep: the Metropolis of the Pa Sak River Basin and its landscape, 2) Late Prehistory and Early History in Suvarnabhumi, 3) Late Prehistory and Early History of Si Thep, 4) Si Thep and Ancient Khom Civilization in the Pre-Angkor Period, 5) Dvaravati Civilization Period, 6) Si Thep in the Dvaravati Civilization Period, 7) Si Thep-Dvaravati Architecture, 8) Ancient Khmer Civilization Era of the Angkor Period, 9) Si Thep in the Ancient Khmer Civilization Era of the Angkor Period, 10) Contemporary communities with Si Thep, and 11) Decline of Si Thep.
