Main Article Content
Abstract
This research article is a quantitative study aimed to investigate the students of King Mongkut’s University of Technology Thonburi over their ability of ethical reasoning that influences on their perspectives on others. Data were collected from the students enrolled in the course of GEN111 “Man and Ethics of Living” in the second semester of the academic year 2023, totalling 364 individuals. The method involved sending a test link for self-assessment through an online system. Data analysis was conducted by using the Jamovi program, employing t-tests, and applying a descriptive analysis.
The research findings indicate two notable issues. First, after the students finished their learning of ethical decision-making from the perspective of others and took the test, the average of their answers that concern other people’s perspectives are high. However, this result is found among both the students who supported and those who did not support the options in the test’s case study. Second, the students were able to differentiate the levels of understanding others’ perspectives that supports ethical decision-making, consistently with all questions designed by the researchers.
