บทคัดย่อ
บทความนี้มีวัตถุประสงค์เพื่อศึกษากลวิธีการแปลคำวิสามานยนามในเอกสารการเมืองแนวสังคมนิยมภาษาจีนเป็นภาษาไทย โดยใช้กรณีศึกษาจาก Selected Works of Mao Tse-Tung ฉบับภาษาจีน และ สรรนิพนธ์เหมาเจ๋อตุง ฉบับภาษาไทย กลุ่มข้อมูลที่ศึกษาได้แก่ ชื่อสถานที่ทางภูมิศาสตร์ 5 ตัวอย่าง และชื่อบุคคล 6 ตัวอย่างซึ่งเป็นคำเฉพาะที่มีบทบาทสำคัญในบริบทการเมืองของจีน ผลการวิเคราะห์พบว่าผู้แปลใช้กลวิธีหลัก 3 ประการ ได้แก่ (1) การทับศัพท์ เช่น การถอดเสียงชื่อบุคคลหรือสถานที่ให้ใกล้เคียงกับภาษาจีนต้นฉบับ (2) การแปลความหมาย โดยเฉพาะในกรณีที่ต้องอธิบายลักษณะทางกายภาพของภูมิประเทศ เช่น แม่น้ำหรือเขตแดน และ (3) การใช้คำบรรยายเจาะจงตัวเพื่อเสริมความเข้าใจบทบาทของบุคคลในบริบททางประวัติศาสตร์ ผลการศึกษาชี้ให้เห็นว่าการแปลคำวิสามานยนามอย่างมีประสิทธิภาพต้องอาศัยความเข้าใจด้านสัทวิทยา อรรถศาสตร์ วัฒนธรรม และบริบททางการเมืองร่วมกัน ทั้งนี้เพื่อให้สามารถถ่ายทอดความหมายจากต้นฉบับได้อย่างถูกต้อง ชัดเจน และสอดคล้องกับความคาดหวังของผู้อ่านภาษาไทย โดยเฉพาะในเอกสารเชิงประวัติศาสตร์และอุดมการณ์ทางการเมือง
