Personnel Management Affecting Organizational Commitment in School under the Secondary Educational Service Area Office Nakhon Ratchasima

Abstract

This article aims to 1) study organizational commitment in educational institutions, 2) examine human resource management within these institutions, and 3) forecast the aspects of human resource management that impact organizational commitment in educational institutions under the jurisdiction of the Nakhon Ratchasima Secondary Educational Service Area. The sample consisted of 346 school administrators and teachers, selected through stratified sampling based on school size. The research instrument used was a questionnaire with content validity ranging from 0.80 to 1.00 and an overall reliability of 0.967. The statistical methods employed for analysis included frequency, percentage, mean, standard deviation, Pearson correlation, and stepwise multiple regression. The research findings revealed that


  1. The overall organizational commitment in educational institutions is at a high level, with the highest average observed in the aspect of normative commitment.

  2. The overall human resource management in educational institutions is also at a high level, with the highest average found in the area of discipline and discipline maintenance.

  3. The management of human resources in the areas of discipline and discipline maintenance (X6) and salary and salary increments (X4) significantly affects organizational commitment in educational institutions under the Office of Secondary Education in Nakhon Ratchasima at a significance level of .05. The aspect of discipline and discipline maintenance (X6) has the highest influence, while salary and salary increments (X4) rank second. These factors can explain 37.70% of the variance in organizational commitment. The prediction equations can be formulated in terms of raw scores and standardized scores as follows. equation= 2.030 + 0.291X6 + 0.227X4 and y = 0.367X6 + 0.342X4
