Effects of Active Learning Activities on Digital Competence for Physical Education Students at The Rajabhat University

Abstract
This research aimed to (1) study the current state of digital competence and the needs for developing digital competence, (2) design and develop active learning activities, and (3) evaluate the success of the implemented active learning activities. The study was conducted in four phases as follows. Phase 1 involved studying the current digital competence and needs. Data were collected from 170 fourth-year undergraduate students majoring in Physical Education from four Rajabhat Universities using questionnaires and interviews. The data were analyzed using mean and standard deviation. Phase 2 The design and development of active learning activities. Data were collected from five experts through focus group discussions. Phase 3 The implementation of the active learning activities. Data were collected from 30 Physical Education students at Muban Chom bueng Rajabhat University, selected through purposive sampling. Research instruments included pre- and post-activity self-assessment forms and satisfaction questionnaires. Phase 4 The evaluation of the success of the active learning activities. Data were collected from the same group of students using performance assessment forms, and the data were analyzed using percentages.
The research findings revealed that (1) The active learning activities consisted of five steps, while digital competence comprised three skills and seven components. (2) The post-activity self-assessment scores were significantly higher than the pre-activity scores at the .05 level. Overall satisfaction with the activities was at the highest level, with a mean score of 4.70 and a standard deviation of 0.47. (3) The success evaluation, based on four performance tasks after participation, showed scores of 70 percent or higher, indicating a good level of performance and digital competence appropriate to the standards for teachers and educational personnel.
