Organizational Culture and Working Environment Affecting Work Motivation of Personnel at Digital Economy Promotion Agency

Abstract

The purposes of this research are to: 1) examine organizational culture and working environment affecting work motivation of personnel at Digital Economy Promotion Agency (DEPA); 2) compare organizational culture and working environment affecting work motivation of personnel at Digital Economy Promotion Agency (DEPA); and 3) study the relationship between organizational culture and working environment affecting work motivation of personnel at Digital Economy Promotion Agency (DEPA). Quantitative research uses questionnaires as a tool to collect data. The sample consists of 170 personnel. The statistics applied for data analysis included descriptive statistics (frequency, percentage, mean, standard deviation) and inferential statistics (t-test and F-test), and multiple regression analysis. The research results find that:


  1. Overall, the mean ( equation= 3.54, S.D.=0.859) has a high level of opinion; the work motivation in the organization has the highest mean, followed by the working environment and organizational culture, respectively.

  2. The comparison finds no overall differences, except for gender, marital status, duration of work, and monthly income, which shows statistical significance at the .05 level.

  3. Organizational culture and working environment affecting work motivation of personnel at Digital Economy Promotion Agency (DEPA) equals 0.829 (t=28.233, Sig. = 0.000). It was found that organizational culture and working environment affecting work motivation, explaining the variation by 84.30% (R² = 0.843) with statistical significance at the 0.01 level.
