Development Guidelines for Situational Leadership and Personal Administration Efficiency of School Administrators under The Secondary Educational Service Area Office Nonthaburi

Abstract

This research objectives were 1) to study the level of leadership according to the situation of educational institution administrators, 2) to study the level of effectiveness of school personnel management, 3) to study the relationship between situational leadership and the effectiveness of school personnel management by school administrators, and 4) to present guidelines for developing leadership according to the situation in order to increase the effectiveness of school personnel management among school administrators. It was a mixed methods research by collecting data by of questionnaires which had reliability of 0.992 and gathered from teachers totaling 318 teachers and qualitative data analysis using structured interviews from 3 school administrators and 2 educational administrators.


The research findings were as follows: 1) The situational leadership of school administrators overall was at a high level. 2) The effectiveness of personnel management in schools overall was at a high level. 3) The relationship between situational leadership and the effectiveness of personnel management in schools revealed that situational leadership and the effectiveness of personnel management in schools are positively correlated at a high level, with statistical significance at the .01 level, with a correlation coefficient (r) of .842**, and 4) guidelines for developing situational leadership and personnel management effectiveness in schools from school administrators: Administrators should assign clearly and appropriate tasks, build trust, provide necessary advice, develop personnel, and monitor work results regularly to ensure continuous skill development.
