Holistic Well-being Promotion for Early Childhood by Using Mandala Molding Activity Packgage “Mediclaytion”

Abstract
This evaluative research aims to 1) develop a Mandala Molding activity package of “Mediclaytion” to promote holistic well-being for Early Childhood 2) study the effect of using a Mandala Molding activity package of “Mediclaytion”. This research used research and development (R&D) methods. The sample group were 5 students who were studying in kindergarten 3 from Chulalongkorn University Demonstration School. The research instruments consisted of molding activity plans, students’s well-being observation form while participating in activity and students interview form. The quantitative data were analyzed using percentage and mean, while the qualitative data were analyzed by content analysis.
The results of this research showed 1) Mandala molding activity package of “Mediclaytion” consisted of 3 molding activity: 1) Make a little Planet 2) Make shiny star and 3) Make a smiley sun, The process of the activity consisted of 3 steps as follows: Step 1: Explore and inspire, Step 2: Create and Step 3: Summarize 3) The result of the assessment found that students who participated in the activity had well-being assessment in 4 areas, including mental well-being at a very high level at 93.33 percent, physical well-being at82.22 percent, intellectual well-being at 76.65 percent and social well-being at 77.80 percent. Students can concentrate on their work, and they were create artwork according to their own imagination. They had enjoyment and were satisfied with the work they created on their own, and were able to work with others.
