Abstract

This research aims to: 1) study the guidelines for supervising new employees through the onboarding program of Thai Vegetable Oil Public Company Limited, and 2) propose guidelines for supervising new employees using the company's onboarding program. The research adopts a mixed-method approach, divided into two phases. In Phase 1, the data were collected from 125 new employees—both those still in their probation period and those who had completed it—whose length of service did not exceed 12 months. The research instrument was a questionnaire, and data were analyzed using frequency distribution, percentage, mean, standard deviation, and the Priority Needs Index (PNI). In Phase 2, the study explored practical guidelines for supervising new employees using the onboarding program. Data were collected through semi-structured interviews with 8 employees from private companies who had successfully implemented onboarding programs to support new hires. The data were analyzed using content analysis.
