Competency of School Administrators in the 21st Century Under Kanchanaburi Primary Educational Service Area Office 1

Abstract
This Article aimed to study 1) competency of school administrators in the 21st century and
2) compare competency of school administrators classified by school size. The sample consisted of 306 teachers, obtained by stratified random sampling according to school sizes. The research instrument was questionnaire and a reliability of 0.95. The statistics for analysis were percentage, mean, standard deviation, one way analysis of variance and found the difference of the means, and paired tests were carried out according to Scheffe’s method.
The research results were found as follows; 1. Competency of school administrators overall and in each individual aspect were at a high level and 2. The comparison competency of school administrators classified by school sizes, overall there was no statistically significant difference. When considering in each individual aspect found that strategic thinking and innovation, individual excellence and the participation with stakeholders had statistically significant differences. Strategic thinking and innovation, large schools had more performance than small size school. Individual excellence, medium size schools had more performance than large schools. And the participation with stakeholders, medium size schools had more performance large schools.
The knowledge in this research is useful for educational institute administrators and educational agencies to use as a guideline for developing the competencies of educational institute administrators to be more efficient.
