Abstract

This purpose of this research were: 1) to study the appropriate area conditions for constructing living weir by the process of participation of civil society 2)To prepare a plan to build a living weir by the process of participation of civil society. This research is a qualitative research. The sample group used in the research consisted of experts and civil society. who provides in-depth interview information total of 13 people with a specific method data were collected using observational forms and interviews. qualitative data analysis by systematically categorizing data components and describing their connections.


The research findings were summarized as follows :1. The area around Ban Hua Krok Community, Village No. 7, Phayayen Sub-district, Pak Chong District, Nakhon Ratchasima Province There are physical, biological and social factors. are suitable for building a living weir. The appropriate factors include environmental factors There is a Khlong Hua Krok that used to have water all year round and social factors area south of Khlong Hua Krok adjacent to Mahachula Asom Meditation Center which is a religious organization the civil society sector has the potential to be the core of driving force and coordination from people in the community and civil society as well. 2. Preparation of plans for building and developing weirs by the process of participation of civil society. The operation is divided into 3 phases, include making a public understanding platform using the power of volunteers and creation of the rules of utilization of the living weir. The findings from this research are; This is the common water management model for consumption agriculture of the people in the community ecosystem restoration and learning resources.
