Abstract
The demand of skilled automatic welding technician that could perform in the industrial factories of the Eastern Economic Corridor development project that were lacking in both quantity and quality. Therefore, the Department of Skill Development, Ministry of Labor, in collaboration with the private sector, was working on developing the skills of automatic welder labor to enhance the aforementioned demand. The three purposes were to 1) evaluated managerial development of welding technician upskills. 2) explain correlation managerial development of welding technician upskills with affecting factors. 3) present model of managerial development of welding technician upskills. This was mixed research, qualitative approach applied 17 key performance persons response of development of welding technician upskills. In depth interview was data collection tools, Thematic analysis and interpretation were analytical means. Quantitative research, 200 applicants of development of welding technician upskills. Questionaries were data collection tools. Analytical statistics were percentages mean standard deviation Pearson correlation and multiple regression
Major outcomes were 1) managerial development of welding technician upskills were high level. 2) correlation between managerial development of welding technician upskills with affecting factors was statistical positive high level at .01 level. 3) managerial development model of welding technician upskills were as follows; constant +.787 internal management +.185 external contexts +.152 Skills Needed to be a good Welder
