Development of the Guidelines Participative Management to Reduce Conflicts of Residential Communities

Abstract

The objectives of this research were 1) to determine the current conditions the participation management to reduce the conflicts of resident in a community, 2) to study problems and obstacles on the participation management to reduce the conflicts of resident in a community, and 3) to find out the guidelines on the participation management to reduce the conflicts of resident in a community. Qualitative research was collected data by using an interview form. The 30 key informants consisted of 10 condominium juristic person committee, 10 representative executives of the condominium manager or condominium managers, and 10 condominium residents by using a purposive sampling technique. Data were analyzed by content analysis method.


The research results indicated as follow: 1) the current conditions in terms of 1.1) privacy, 1.2) number of residents, 1.3) social status, 1.4) purpose of residence, and 1.5) the environment affects the current conditions the participation management to reduce the conflicts of resident in a community; 2) results of problems and obstacles on the participation management to reduce the conflicts of resident in a community included 2.1) condominium laws, 2.2) social environment, 2.3) economic conditions, 2.4) undesirable behavior, and 2.5) conflict of interest; and 3) guidelines on the participation management to reduce the conflicts of resident in a community should hold a public hearing to raise awareness of the right to manage finances in the community in order to build a good relationship between residents.
