The Roles of Abbots towards Traditional Buddhist Cultural Conservation in Pathum Thani Province

Abstract

The Roles of Abbots to toward the preservation sharing knowledge and participating for conservation the historical places anciently maters and arts in the temple of Buddhism. Moreover, they are cooperated with government agencies to maintain and to preserve the Buddhist historical places. This is a good sign of the confederation and sustaining the heritage of Buddhist traditional culture as well as appearing together with Thailand as an appreciated legacy for generations in the future. The Author would like to mention the monks who have played a role for conserving traditaional Buddhist cultural heritage into three provinces as follows as examples;

(1) All of Abbots in Wat Boa-Loung maintained the Thai style of the Chapel which is the ancient place of Buddhism and is established in Ayutthaya period etc.

(2) All of Sanghas who are Abbots in Wat Phang-Deau maintained the Chapel which is established in the 5^th King Rama period etc.  

(3) All of abbots in Wat Makarm maintained the Gable of the Temple central hall which was constructed by using a wood carving like a Vishnu stands on the Garuda that is winding. As the hand-held weapons and the Garuda stands on Anacortes in stage by stage; and the Bouquet pattern is carved scroll like a Deity put the palms of the hands together in salute which is the art in Ayutthaya period and so on.
