Siam Buddhist Peace Approach to Reconciliation

Abstract

Buddhist peace approach in Thai literature, tale of Khun Chang and Khun Phaen, Thai verse recital “sepha” appraised literature values in terms of various aspects such as contents and Thais' common way of life, thoughts, values and the condition of living in the past.  Therefore, Buddhist peace approaches for the analytical study described the structure of society and social values appearing in the story by applying the concepts of sociology including government administration, the importance of Buddhism in Thai society in the past.  

The Buddhist Dhamma as karm (deed) and tilakkhana (three common characteristics) are important , wel-known and accepted principles.  It believes that transmigration of soul of human being and creatures is a result of power of karm (deed).   The way of life of human being and creatures in the world conduct as tilakkahan comprise of anicca- impermanence, dukkaha-suffering, and anattaa- not-self or insubstantiality leading to reconciliation in the social world.
