Analysis of Expectations and Satisfaction of Academic Institutions toward the Periodical of the Institute of Innovative Learning, Mahidol University

Abstract

This Article aimed to present guidelines for improving the periodical of the Institute of Innovative Learning, Mahidol University.  A questionnaire was sent to 220 sample respondents.  A total of 198 questionnaires were completed and returned.  In addition, 400 academic institutions were selected for further data collection.  Data were analyzed using descriptive statistics, t-test, and Modified Priority Needs Index (PNI).

This study found that slightly over half (54.1%) of the respondents were male, age between 51 and 60 years, with at least bachelor’s degree education (62.2%), and work in a primary school (52.0%).  Slightly over half (52.0%) receive the periodical and read it.  Most (68.4%) receive the original issue.  Most (87.8%) of the respondents read only some issues of the periodical, which they receive by post (92.2%).  Half (50.5%) of respondents had three or more purposes in reading the periodical.  The respondents were satisfied with the design of the periodical (score of 4.43), and the area of greatest need is the content of the periodical (modified PNI mean score of 0.011).
