Publication Ethics
The Journal of Humanities and Social Sciences, Phranakhon Si Ayutthaya Rajabhat University adheres to high ethical standards at every stage of the publication process. The journal ensures that all parties involved—editors, reviewers, and authors—uphold the principles of academic integrity, transparency, and ethical responsibility.
The following guidelines outline the ethical duties and responsibilities of each party.
Duties of Editors
1. Editors are responsible for assessing the academic quality and relevance of submitted manuscripts to determine their suitability for publication in the journal.
2. Editors must not disclose any information about the authors or reviewers to unauthorized individuals during the review process.
3. Publication decisions must be made only after the completion of the peer review process, based on the significance, originality, clarity, and alignment of the manuscript with the journal’s aims and scope.
4. Editors must not accept or publish manuscripts that have been previously published elsewhere.
5. Editors must avoid any conflicts of interest with authors, reviewers, or members of the editorial or management teams.
6. Editors must ensure that all manuscripts undergo plagiarism detection using reliable software to verify that the content is original and free from unethical duplication.
7. If plagiarism or academic misconduct is detected during the review process, the editor shall immediately suspend the review and reject the manuscript, providing a clear explanation to the author.
Duties of Authors
1. Authors must ensure that their submitted manuscripts are original and have not been previously published or simultaneously submitted to another journal.
2. Authors must report research findings accurately and must not fabricate, falsify, or manipulate data.
3. Authors must appropriately cite all sources and references used in their work and include a complete reference list at the end of the manuscript.
4. Authors must prepare their manuscripts in accordance with the journal’s Guidelines for Authors.
5. All listed authors must have made a genuine and substantial contribution to the research and manuscript preparation.
6. Authors must disclose any sources of financial or institutional support for the research (if applicable).
7. Authors must declare any potential conflicts of interest (if applicable).
Duties of Reviewers
1. Reviewers must maintain strict confidentiality and must not disclose, share, or discuss any part of the manuscript with unauthorized individuals during the review process.
2. If reviewers recognize a conflict of interest that may compromise the objectivity of their evaluation, they should promptly notify the editor and decline the review.
3. Reviewers should evaluate manuscripts only within their areas of expertise, basing their assessments on scholarly merit rather than personal opinion.
4. If reviewers identify any similarities, overlap, or possible plagiarism between the manuscript and other published works, they must inform the editor.
5. Reviewers must not use any ideas, data, or information obtained during the review process for personal benefit or advantage.
