Abstract

The objective of Michael Hardt’s and Antonio Negri’s trilogy, Empire, Multitude and Commonwealth is to project the political idea of communism which tends to destroy the establishment of Empire and to create the new democratic institutions. Hardt and Negri develop concept of new democracy and common in order to challenge the concept of liberal democracy and the rule of private property celebrated by late capitalism and empire. Their political project of the multitude is methodologically based on Karl Marx’s critique of political economy.
