1914-1986 BAN THONG KHUNG LOCAL HISTORY OF POSA SUBDISTRICT IN MUEANG ANGTHONG DISTRICT OF ANGTHONG PROVINCE

Abstract
The objective of this paper is to history-orientedly methodologically study Ban Thong Khung local history of Posa subdistrict in Mueang Angthong district of Angthong province from 1914 to 1986 by using the primary sources, the secondary sources and the interview. The result of this study reveals that Ban Thong Khung has had a long historical background since Ayutthaya period. It was named its Posa Tambon (Posa subdistrict) in 1914. Ban Thong Khung residents have the unique way of life, wisdom, culture and local beliefs inherited from the past, especially the Phirod ring of Phra Kru Wichithurathon.
