RELATIONSHIP BETWEEN HUSBAND AND WIFE : A CASE STUDY OF TRA SAM DUANG LAW IN THE SECTION OF HUSBAND AND WIFE

Abstract

This article aims to study the relationship between husband and wife in the Ayutthaya period through the lens of Tra Sam Duang law. The result of the study shows that the law for controlling bad behaviors and marriage is a section of husband and wife representing the foundation of society, custom and culture of Thailand in the past which socially developed through law. Therefore a study of law on the section of husband and wife in Tra Sam Duang law is the one involving the study of relationship in families, concepts, belief, custom and traditions. All of these clearly portrays the context of a society in Ayutthaya period.
