Ma-Mia: Feminist Ideology throughout Critical Discourse Analysis

Abstract
Ma-mia was one of historical Lanna literatures. In this research , the purposes of the study were 1) to search for the feminist ideology in historical Lanna literature and 2) to realize the importance of feminist ideology in historical Lanna literature. The data collection was the play “Ma-mia”, edited by Chirichan Prathipasen. The data was analyzed with Critical Discourse Analysis (CDA) by Norman Fairclough, showing the relationship between the discourse and social context. It also realized the context, discourse practice, and socio – cultural practice. The research findings were divided into 3 main points namely 1) the feminist beauty, 2) the feminist criteria, and 3) the role and feminist status as daughter and wife.
